Our Solution

GuardianMedTech takes a personalized, innovative approach to medication optimization. Our system may be used on its own by patients and caregivers as an effective medication management tool. It may also be integrated into existing systems, allowing pharmacists to offer highly personalized and targeted interventions like never before.

This video shows a patented embodiment of GuardianMT Scan for an OTC vitamin D supplement. The QR Code is on the inside of the cap requiring the user to open the bottle to log in the dose. The code is automatically assigned to the product so the user only need press one button [Scan] to record the dose. Everything is is handled automatically. There is almost no possibility for user error and the ease in which this process occurs reduces user interaction and frustration seen with traditional medication adherence applications.

Interiorly Positioned Codes

The premise of GuardianMT is simple. If we get patients to open their medication bottles we improve adherence. GuardianMT uses the specific constraint of requiring a scan of the interior of the medication bottle cap. The code adhered or imprinted into the interior surface of the cap is normally occluded when the bottle is closed rendering the code scannable only when the cap is open. This results in the same behavioral goal as expensive smart bottles and digital caps at a fraction of the cost with no change in pharmacy workflow.

Smartphone App

The GMT app is designed to be simple and intuitive. We only send reminders when needed to prevent alarm fatigue. When a dose is missed, the GMT app sends a series of periodic notifications until either the dose is taken or the medication is no longer within a safe window to take without interfering with the next dose. Patients will have the option to add a health partner who will be notified if a dose is delayed beyond a specified time limit. This function provides an accountability partner, a support system and may serve secondarily as a safety feature by alerting loved ones to reach out when a dose is missed – resulting in the early identification and treatment of falls, sepsis and disease progression.

MTM Integration

Traditionally, pharmacists have only had access to subjective data when conducting medication management therapy. Our system provides an opportunity to revolutionize medication management therapy (MTM) by providing pharmacists with reliable medication administration data for the first time on a large scale. This system may also be used to detect interactions, counsel those dropping off in adherence and help pharmacists collaborate with patients to design highly effective and personalized treatment plans.

The next generation of healthcare will be decentralized, mobilized and personalized. Instead of the blunt instruments of the past, we will be giving patients more precise medications and therapies.”

Market Comparison

We provide the same efficacy of a smart bottle at a fraction of the cost.

Our patented solution focuses on medication adherence and optimization. For pennies a prescription, we confirm when and if the bottle was opened. No other technology has this combination of efficacy and low cost. Compare some of the existing technologies:
